Junction Hill Elementary and Junior BETA's went to compete in the state convention February 28th and 29th. During the convention, Junction Hill BETA's placed in 13 different categories.
In elementary BETA, Jaxon Samoza earned 1st place in the 4th grade math test, Jemma Rennick earned 1st place in fiber art, Teagyn Guy earned 3rd place in digital art, Isaac Recktenwald earned 4th place in sculpture, and Connor Henderson earned 3rd place in woodworking. The elementary scrapbooking team earned 5th place, and the elementary engineering team earned 4th place. The elementary book battle team earned 1st place in their event.
In Junior BETA, the engineering team earned 4th place, and the robotics team earned 4th place. Kaebrynn Gunter earned 2nd place in drawing, Nicole Brotherton earned 3rd place in pottery, and Wyatt Bird earned 5th place in the 6th-grade math test.
We are very proud of all of the BETA students and their hard work for this convention and look forward to what the winners do at Nationals this summer.
